Who We Are
The Digital Freedom Alliance of IT Professionals and Privacy Advocates coming together to create Digital Freedom Solutions. We provide a collaborative platform where you can bring your own project or join an existing project.
Current Legal and Business Framework
On 30th September 2024, the business name Digital Freedom Alliance was formally registered in Australia to enable the acceptance of payments for products and services via modern payment platforms.
- The business is registered with an Australian Business Number (ABN) for taxation purposes.
- A Stripe payment gateway has been established, allowing us to accept major credit cards and other payment methods securely and efficiently.
Future Structure
The DFA is being established as a global, mission-driven ecosystem dedicated to digital privacy projects, tools, and education. At its core, an Offshore Foundation will legally own all the DFA’s intellectual property and brand, manage its global finances, and ensure its long-term strategic direction. This Foundation will be overseen by a Board for day-to-day operations, while the Founder acts as a Protector, holding ultimate veto power over the Alliance’s mission and core assets to prevent any deviation from its purpose. Alongside the Board sits an Advisory Council, a formal but non-binding body of trusted experts and project leads that provides strategic, technical, and community guidance to keep the DFA aligned with real-world needs and opportunities.
The DFA will foster a vibrant community through a Private Membership Association (PMA), which sets clear rules for collaboration, privacy, and IP contributions among its members and projects. In a future phase, this PMA will integrate a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO), allowing members to collectively vote on project funding and policies using a non-transferable governance token, while contributors are compensated with stablecoins for their work. This structure ensures the DFA remains resilient, community-driven, and focused on its mission, with the Foundation, Board, Advisory Council, PMA, and (later) DAO each playing a defined role in governance and operations.

- Potential projects are reviewed by the commitee to ensure they align with our Mission and Vision, and the principles of Digital Freedom.
- The platform is based on voluntary participation, the Digital Freedom Alliance does not provide funding or allocate resources to projects. We provide a platform and it is up to members to promote their project to others in the network when seeking support for their project.
- Projects are autonomous meaning they are not overseen or managed by Digital Freedom Alliance.
- Projects can be commercial and require a fee to access the products or services they provide.
- Membership in Digital Freedom Alliance does not imply endorsement of all projects or other members.
If you are passionate about safeguarding digital freedoms and wish to contribute to a cause that values privacy and autonomy in the digital age, we invite you to join the Digital Freedom Alliance. Together, we can shape a future where digital technologies empower rather than oppress.
Our Mission
Establish A Digital Freedom Alliance
Our mission is to establish an alliance of IT professionals, privacy advocates, and individuals concerned with digital surveillance, censorship, and intrusive technologies by creating a Digital Freedom platform. The platform will facilitate information and resource sharing, networking and potential collaborations in developing initiatives and projects that champion Digital Freedom.
Our Vision
Build A Digital Free World
Digital Freedom is a vision for a digital world where individual privacy and security is paramount and built into the digital architecture of all the systems we use creating a balanced and equitable internet, where personal choice and freedom are respected and protected.
It’s based on a decentralized internet that no government or business can control or dominate and the individual is empowered to choose how they engage in the digital world. Where individuals own and control their data and have the freedom to express themselves and actively participate in online communities (digital spaces) that reflect their values.
