📄 Project Description

This project is building the infrastructure for anonymous access to Digital Freedom AI Assistants — a system that ensures no identifiable user data is ever linked to assistant sessions. It provides that crucial extra layer of separation for users escaping Big Tech control.

The goal is to host AI-powered assistants trained on:

  • The 10 Principles of Digital Freedom
  • All 10 Steps of the Escape the Digital Prison curriculum
  • AI-generated summaries and transcripts from Digital Freedom Tube content
  • DFA’s internal knowledge base

Users will interact through a self-hosted interface (digitalfreedom.cloud), not controlled by OpenAI. While assistants currently use OpenAI’s LLM for language generation and general search fallback, user queries and custom datasets remain separate and private.

All Digital Freedom materials will be served from a self-controlled vectorized knowledge base, inaccessible to OpenAI. This design ensures the LLM provides computation only — not hosting, not data control, not interface management.

The long-term goal is to migrate to an open-source LLM fully aligned with Digital Freedom principles, as viable alternatives mature.
