Appendix M – Contributors & Acknowledgements
This project is the result of thousands of hours of thought, development, testing, and collaboration. While the work has been deeply collaborative and community-informed, it is important to acknowledge the key contributors who have shaped the foundation of the CARS Digital Privacy System and its supporting projects.
Invitation to Collaborate
The CARS Digital Privacy System and the wider Digital Freedom Alliance (DFA) ecosystem are open to collaboration. Whether you’re a designer, writer, coder, educator, activist, or privacy advocate — there’s a role for you to play.
We invite others to:
- Join the DFA project directly and contribute to this growing movement
- Start their own Digital Freedom Project and collaborate across networks
- Use and improve these tools, while staying true to the principles of decentralisation, transparency, and personal sovereignty
This is a people-powered system. The exits to Digital Freedom aren’t gated — they’re waiting to be built by everyone who sees the prison walls and decides it’s time to drive.
The Virtual Webmaster

The CARS system, its training curriculum, and gamified metaphor of “Escape the Big Tech Digital Prison” were conceived, designed, and developed by The Virtual Webmaster — an IT veteran with 46 years of experience spanning enterprise systems, full-stack development, cybersecurity, SEO, and digital strategy.
- Conceptual design and methodology of the CARS system
- Author of the 10-Step Digital Escape Curriculum
- Designer of the gamified training journey and mission structure
- Creator of the CARS Profile format and SLOT system
- Developer of the original training platform and system documentation
- Core contributor to DFA philosophy and project governance
NettieBee (Jeanette)
Design & Media Contributor
NettieBee has worked in the Sign and Design industry since 1994, expanding into Web Design in 2010. Her contributions include:
- Web design and responsive layout support
- Web graphics and interface elements
- PDF publishing and layout optimisation
- Visual branding, social media, and promotional assets
- Creative input across design, UX, and visual strategy
Her design sensibility and creative support helped translate the CARS system into an accessible, visually engaging experience.
Jugomi
Privacy Advocate and Review Contributor
Jugomi is a committed supporter of digital freedom with a passion for individual sovereignty and decentralised technologies. He contributed:
- Proofreading and clarity editing of system documents
- Feedback on non-technical readability and accessibility
- Idea generation and strategic review from a user perspective
